Position Yourself
"Why do you want to move?", he asked me.

One of the things humans try to do is control and predict every little aspect of their life. From relationships, to work, to weather, to time. We constantly live under the illusion that knowing what will happen and preparing for it is a possibility.
And then life surprises you and you see you had little control in the first place.
However, there are things I feel you can do to position yourself in such a way that increases the chances of your desired outcome.
What that means is if you're hoping to learn to speak German, it makes very little sense to live in India. You could however position yourself such that you move to Germany, or find a job at a German institute, and your chances of speaking the language dramatically increase.
Just in the same way, if you're hoping to find love - to find an Indian partner who has lived a life much like yours, you have a much higher chance if you position yourself in a country where there's just a larger number of Indian people than say Greenland.
And the same goes for growth in one's career. Say you work as a car mechanic in a small town in India. Now, no matter how much you up-skill yourself, you give it your all and get really good, the highest probable outcome of all your efforts is that you'll become the best mechanic in the city you're in.
Now if this mechanic were to live in a small city in Italy, there's a much higher chance that his growth wouldn't be limited to just being the best mechanic in the small city, but that he could potentially become a race car mechanic, because there's a demand for race-car mechanics in Italy. Positioning.
Move him to an even bigger city, yes the difficulty of becoming the best increases dramatically, but the ceiling of the heights he can reach is far, far higher. There is now the possibility of him being picked as a mechanic for F1. Positioning.
A plant's growth depends on its pot size (scholar).
This is why I need to position myself better. That's why I need to move. I can almost see the height to which I can grow where I'm at, and the ceiling isn't high enough.

"And why must you grow?", he asked.
